This verse speaks to me because it explains that even though we are sinners Jesus still chose to die for us, even though he knew all the sins we would ever commit

This is a wonderful 'security of the believer' verse of Scripture. Since a lost sinner can be saved because Jesus died for him or her, how much more is the saved child of God kept saved since that same Jesus lives forever. Truly the Lord gives everlasting, eternal life. Eternal life is the gift of God that He gives by His grace and His mercy because He loves you and me with such a great love. Our part is, from our hearts, repentance toward God, faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ, and calling upon His name in prayer asking Him for forgiveness and for His salvation. "Repent and believe the gospel".

LORD JESUS; thank you for enduring that Roman cross and tasting death for me for my sins. Thank you Jesus Christ my God and Savior.
